We are saddened to announce that Betty Howard, a long-time devotee and member, passed away at the age of 94 in Gaylord on March 8, 2018. Betty will be remembered for her enthusiasm and for the many members she inspired to follow Paramahansa Yogananda's teachings. The Chicago SRF Group, which with Betty's help was founded in 1963, met for many years at her south-side apartment. A Memorial for her will be held at the Retreat on April 1, Easter Sunday, immediately following our Sunday Meditation Service.
All are welcome.

"Practical Information for Getting Your House Up at Clear Light Community"
This year's Clear Light Community Day took place in the domes and focused on what would be involved in getting a house built in the community.
We already have eight beautiful homes up here with one or two in the works for the very near future. We get many inquiries as to what goes into getting a house up as well as what a house would cost per square foot. Our speaker this year gave us some good, practical information, including floor plan options and costs.
Christine Nolan of North Country Homes in Indian River addressed the process of putting up one of their homes step by step from start to finish. Lopamudra Bose also spoke and talked about the spiritual aspects of home design. Anne Wakenhut then talked about organizing long-term care among community members. Steve Sandner also spoke and gave a report on the Association Committee.
After the talks, we all visited the Community Garden and had a social get-together at the home of Anne Wakenhut.
Below is a video of the talk on home building given by Christin Nolan at Song of the Morning Community Day, June 24, 2017. Note: Song of the Morning does not specifically endorse any particular home building company.
